Yoga for You!

Internal Yoga is a gentle practice designed to facilitate the healing of body, mind and spirit. Developed for the Western lifestyle; Internal Yoga combines, gentle stretching, Hatha Yoga postures, breath practices, flowing movement, affirmation, and guided meditation into a fluid practice that tones the body, greatly calms the mind and activates innate healing ability. The central practice of Internal Yoga is the ongoing process letting go, and the application of this yoga emphasizes the increased ability to meet life with a calm acceptance. Practitioners of this yoga routinely report a decrease in physical symptoms such a back and neck pain, along with marked improvement in sleeping and an increase in the general sense of well-being

Classes are ongoing, taught by Douglas MacIntyre, the originator of Internal Yoga. Douglas is a therapist and consultant with over twenty years experience in living and teaching alternative pathways to health and healing. He began studying yoga in 1972, and initiated this style in1989.
