I came to yoga over a decade ago and fell deeply, instantly and enduringly in love. It’s been a continuously deepening relationship ever since.
Yoga has been my greatest gift. As in any good relationship, with yoga, I am able to see the auspiciousness of life with greater acuity and able to wade through challenges with a little more grace and ease. Yoga reminds me to be grateful for all the bountiful gifts I (all of us) have been given and helps me to delve more deeply, with greater awareness into life – exactly as it is. My hope and expectation is that I will always have yoga in my life, perpetually ‘keeping the conversation going’.
Simply, when I’m able to align myself with the principles of yoga, my life becomes better.
It’s an honor and another boundless gift, which continues to grow in its beauty and richness, when I’m able to give this gift away. Teaching is the natural outgrowth; I have been teaching for nearly ten years. It’s my belief that in order to keep a gift – we have to give it away. Luckily, yoga is the gift that keeps giving - exponentially. I have had innumerable experiences with this. Teaching allows me to be a conduit of the strength, beauty and grace that I have received from others; I can’t imagine a more beautiful thing.
Mainly, I have studied Anusara and have been blessed to have studied and practiced with these wise people: John Friend, Douglas Brooks, Bill Mahoney, Angela Caplan, Jacqueline McClausland, Aimee Senise Bohn, Vishali Varga, Zenja LaRosa, Deb Neubauer, Ellen Saltonstall, Hareesh Wallis, Amy Jo Metzendorf and Cathy Mueller Dasson
